Product Specific Information

Reconstitution: 25 µL, 50 µL, or 0.2 mL double-distilled water (DDW), depending on sample size.
The antibody ships as a lyophilized powder at room temperature. Upon arrival, store at -20°C.
Reconstituted solution can be stored at 4°C for up to 1 week. For longer storage, aliquot and keep at -20°C.
Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles. Centrifuge antibody preparations before use (10,000 × g, 5 min).

Target Information

Piezo1 is a pore-forming subunit of a mechanosensitive non-specific cation channel, generating linear current-voltage responses sensitive to ruthenium red and gadolinium.
It contains 36 transmembrane domains and functions as a homotetramer.
Piezo1 plays a key role in:

• Epithelial cell adhesion via integrin activation and R-Ras recruitment.
• Kidney pressure and urine flow sensing.
• Endothelial shear-stress response and vascular organization.

Piezo1 is a mechanically activated ion channel linking mechanical forces to biological signals.
Defects in PIEZO1 are associated with Dehydrated Hereditary Stomatocytosis, Pseudohyperkalemia, Perinatal Edema, and Lymphedema.
