Product Specific Information

This product is a chimeric monoclonal antibody combining the constant domains of the human IgG1 molecule with mouse variable regions. The variable region was obtained from a mouse immunized with purified, recombinant SARS-CoV Spike RBD Protein. The antibody was produced using recombinant antibody technology.


Target Information

SARS-CoV-2 (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2), also known as 2019-nCoV, causes illnesses ranging from mild cold symptoms to severe respiratory distress and death.
The CoV Spike (S) protein is crucial for viral attachment, fusion, and entry, serving as a key target for antibody development, entry inhibitors, and vaccines.
The Spike protein receptor-binding domain (RBD, S-RBD) binds strongly to human and bat ACE2 receptors, with SARS-CoV-2 RBD showing higher binding affinity to ACE2 than SARS-CoV RBD.
The S1 subunit contains the RBD that specifically binds to ACE2 receptors on target cells.
