Target Information
Influenza A virus matrix 1 (M1) is a critical protein required for viral assembly and budding. Hemagglutinin interacts with M1 via its cytoplasmic tail and transmembrane domain. M2 and nucleoprotein are essential for viral replication. The M2 channel protein forms a pH-regulated proton-conducting channel that acidifies the virus interior, weakening M1 interactions with the ribonuclear core.
