MA5-17721 targets CD282/TLR2/Toll-like Receptor 2 in ELISA, FACS, and IP applications and shows reactivity with human samples.
The immunogen used is human TLR2.

Target Information

TLR2 is a member of the Toll-like receptor (TLR) family, which plays a fundamental role in pathogen recognition and activation of innate immunity.
TLR2 forms heterodimers with TLR1 or TLR6 to recognize various bacterial and mycoplasma lipoproteins.
It is highly expressed in peripheral blood leukocytes and mediates host responses to Gram-positive bacteria and yeast via NF-kappaB activation.
Expression levels vary among cell types: CD14+ monocytes show the highest expression, followed by CD15+ granulocytes, CD19+ B-cells, and CD3+ T-cells.
TLR2 expression is modulated by immune response modifiers — upregulated by LPS, GM-CSF, IL-1, and IL-10; downregulated by IL-4, IFN-γ, and TNF.
