Target Information
PIP5K1C (Phosphatidylinositol-4-phosphate 5-kinase 1 gamma)
PIP5K1C phosphorylates phosphatidylinositol-4-phosphate to form phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate. It is localized at synapses and plays key roles in endocytosis and cell migration. PIP5K1C associates with β-catenin, enhancing its activity downstream of growth factor stimulation. Its expression and kinase activity promote β-catenin phosphorylation, nuclear import, and transcriptional activity. Deficiency of PIP5K1C impairs neutrophil recruitment due to adhesion defects and regulates adhesion via RhoA GTPase and integrin activation.
