The Human HSP90 Simplex ProcartaPlex Kit measures HSP90 protein and is designed to be combinable with other Simplex kits so that you can create your own multiplex panel utilizing Luminex xMAP technology for protein detection and quantitation.
When combining multiple Simplex kits (e.g., when not using a pre-configured multiplex panel), only one buffer kit (Cat. No. EPX010-10420-901) is required per assay plate, regardless of plex size.

About ProcartaPlex Assays for the Luminex Platform

ProcartaPlex immunoassays are based on sandwich ELISA principles, using two highly specific antibodies binding to different epitopes of one protein to quantitate multiple targets simultaneously with a Luminex instrument.
These multiplex assays require as little as 25 μL of plasma or serum, or 50 μL of cell culture supernatant, and deliver analyzed results within four hours.

ProcartaPlex assays utilize Luminex xMAP (multianalyte profiling) technology for simultaneous detection and quantitation of up to 80 protein targets in a single sample from plasma, serum, cell culture supernatants, and other bodily fluids.

The Luminex MagPlex superparamagnetic microsphere beads are internally dyed with precise proportions of red and infrared fluorophores to create 100 spectrally unique bead signatures identifiable by Luminex xMAP detection systems (Luminex 200, FLEXMAP 3D, MAGPIX).
Similar to sandwich ELISA, matched antibody pairs identify the protein of interest, and bound proteins are detected with biotinylated antibodies and streptavidin–R-phycoerythrin (RPE).
Each bead conjugated to a specific antibody enables multiplex analysis of multiple targets in a single well.

Unlike traditional ELISA, the capture antibody in ProcartaPlex assays is conjugated to a magnetic bead and not adsorbed to the microplate, allowing reagents to remain free-floating in solution.
Detection is performed using Luminex instruments equipped with dual lasers—one distinguishing bead spectral signatures and the other quantifying RPE fluorescence proportional to protein concentration.
ProcartaPlex multiplex assays can profile more targets using significantly less sample in the same time as a conventional ELISA.

ProcartaPlex multiplex panels are available across six species (human, mouse, rat, nonhuman primate, porcine, canine).
