Amphiregulin Human ProcartaPlex™ Simplex Kit
The Human Amphiregulin Simplex ProcartaPlex Kit measures amphiregulin protein and is designed to be combinable with other Simplex kits, allowing you to create custom multiplex panels utilizing Luminex xMAP technology for protein detection and quantitation. Only one buffer kit (Cat. No. EPX010-10420-901) is required per assay plate, regardless of plex size.
About ProcartaPlex Assays for the Luminex Platform
ProcartaPlex immunoassays are based on the principles of a sandwich ELISA, using two highly specific antibodies binding to different epitopes of one protein to quantitate multiple protein targets simultaneously using a Luminex instrument.

ProcartaPlex assays utilize Luminex xMAP (multianalyte profiling) technology for simultaneous detection and quantitation of up to 80 protein targets in a single 25–50 μL sample from plasma, serum, cell culture supernatants, and other biological fluids.
Technology Overview
Luminex MagPlex superparamagnetic microsphere beads are internally dyed with precise proportions of red and infrared fluorophores, creating 100 spectrally unique bead signatures identifiable by Luminex xMAP detection systems (Luminex 200, FLEXMAP 3D, MAGPIX).
Each bead is conjugated with antibodies specific for a single target protein. Bound proteins are detected using biotinylated antibodies and streptavidin–R-phycoerythrin (RPE).
Unlike traditional ELISA, ProcartaPlex assays use magnetic bead–conjugated capture antibodies in free solution, improving binding kinetics and multiplexing efficiency. Detection is performed by dual-laser Luminex instruments: one laser identifies bead type, and the other quantifies RPE fluorescence proportional to protein concentration.
