Product Description

Norgen’s 2X One-Step RT-PCR Master Mix is a ready-to-use solution containing all components required for RT-PCR amplification of RNA templates. The mix includes M-MuLV reverse transcriptase, Taq DNA polymerase, dNTPs, reaction buffer, MgCl₂, KCl, and a PCR enhancer/stabilizer.
Users only need to add the template, primer set, and water. This mix minimizes setup time and contamination risk, especially for high-throughput applications, and ensures robust amplification with high yields.

Enzyme Details:

  • Taq DNA Polymerase: Highly thermostable enzyme with 5′→3′ polymerase activity and low exonuclease activity, derived from Thermus aquaticus YT-1.
  • M-MuLV Reverse Transcriptase: RNA-directed DNA polymerase capable of synthesizing cDNA from RNA or single-stranded DNA templates, derived from E. coli expressing the M-MuLV gene.

  • Lanes 1–2: E. coli 16S rRNA (1.5 kb)
  • Lanes 3–4: E. coli 16S rRNA (550 bp)
  • Lanes 5–6: Human S15 gene (360 bp)
  • Lanes 7–8: Human 5S rRNA (120 bp)
    All products were amplified with high sensitivity and yield.
