Target Information
Apolipoprotein A4 (ApoA-IV) is a plasma O-linked glycoprotein found in HDL and on the surface of newly synthesized chylomicrons. Although its physiological function is not fully identified, in vitro studies suggest that ApoA4 is involved in multiple steps of the reverse cholesterol transport pathway, facilitating cholesterol transport from peripheral cells back to the liver.
