Target Information
YY1 (Yin Yang 1) is a ubiquitously distributed transcription factor belonging to the GLI-Kruppel class of zinc finger proteins.
It can both activate and repress a variety of promoters. YY1 may recruit histone deacetylases or histone acetyltransferases to promoters, implicating histone modification in its regulatory function.
