Product Specific Information
The mA-6E1 monoclonal antibody reacts with the heavy chain of mouse IgA. It does not cross-react with other isotypes such as IgD, IgG, or IgM, nor with other species isotypes. IgA is mainly found as a dimer in mucous secretions and is absent in plasma. Fluorochrome-conjugated mA-6E1 is used as a secondary detection reagent for mouse IgA primary antibodies.

Target Information
Mouse IgA is an immunoglobulin A antibody produced by B cells in response to antigens. It is a key component of the mucosal immune system, protecting against pathogens entering through mucosal surfaces (respiratory, gastrointestinal, urogenital tracts). Composed of two heavy and two light chains, it is the most abundant immunoglobulin in mucosal secretions and plays a crucial role in neutralizing pathogens and preventing their attachment. Widely used in research and diagnostic applications such as ELISA, Western blotting, and immunohistochemistry.
