Target Information
Anti-Rat secondary antibodies are affinity-purified antibodies with well-characterized specificity for rat immunoglobulins. They are useful in detection, sorting, or purification of rat immunoglobulins. Secondary antibodies provide increased versatility by enabling various detection systems (e.g., HRP, AP, fluorescence) and can improve sensitivity through signal amplification, as multiple secondary antibodies can bind to one primary antibody. These antibodies are typically generated by immunizing the host animal with pooled immunoglobulins from the target species and further purified or modified (e.g., immunoaffinity chromatography, antibody fragmentation, label conjugation) to yield highly specific reagents.
