Product Specific Information

The monoclonal antibody Moushi101 recognizes mouse CD101 (IGSF2, V7), a transmembrane glycoprotein with seven Ig-like domains and a short cytoplasmic tail containing phosphorylation sites. Cross-linking CD101 can antagonize TCR/CD3-mediated lymphocyte activation. CD101 is expressed on monocytes, granulocytes, dendritic cells, Langerhans cells, and activated T cells. It is also found on a subset of CD25⁺Foxp3⁺ T regulatory cells with high suppressive activity.

Applications Tested: Tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse bone marrow cells. Recommended ≤0.25 µg/test (100 µL final volume). Optimal titration is recommended per assay.

Target Information

CD101 (also known as V7 antigen) is a disulfide-linked homodimer and a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily. It is expressed on monocytes, granulocytes, and dendritic cells. Expression on T lymphocytes plays a role in cell activation, where CD101⁺CD28⁺ cells respond strongly to CD28 signaling. Anti-CD101 can enhance proliferation with anti-CD28 or suboptimal anti-CD3 stimulation, suggesting an activating role. Mouse CD101 is also expressed on CD4⁺CD25⁺Foxp3⁺ regulatory T cells with high suppressor activity. In humans, approximately 30% of Foxp3⁺ PBMCs express CD101.
