Product Specific Information

The eBio5E10 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD90, also known as Thy-1 (thymus cell antigen-1).
CD90 is a 25–35 kDa receptor expressed on thymocytes, CD34+ prothymocytes, hematopoietic stem cells, neurons, and subsets of fetal liver, cord blood, and bone marrow cells.
It is involved in regulation of adhesion and signal transduction by T cells.

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Pre-diluted and tested on human erythroleukemia (HEL) cells at 5 µL (0.5 µg) per test (100 µL final volume).
Cell count range: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test.

Fluorochrome Information:
Alexa Fluor 700 emits at 723 nm, excited by red laser (633–647 nm).
Recommended optics: 685 LP mirror and 710/20 band pass filter.

Target Information

CD90 (Thy-1) is a GPI-linked glycoprotein of the Immunoglobulin superfamily.
Expressed in murine T cells, thymocytes, neural cells, Kupffer cells, and fibroblasts.
Functions in cell-cell and cell-ligand interactions, especially during synaptogenesis.
Used as a marker for various stem cells and mature neuronal axons.
Associated with diseases such as nasopharyngeal carcinoma and thymoma.
