This antibody has specificity for Human BLNK/Ly-57/SLP-65.
Target Information
B cell linker protein (BLNK) is encoded by the Blnk gene located on chromosome 10 in humans. Also known as SLP-65 (Src homology 2 domain-containing leukocyte protein of 65 kDa), BLNK functions as an adaptor protein in the B cell receptor signaling cascade. Studies have shown that absence of BLNK leads to improper B cell development. BLNK undergoes tyrosine phosphorylation by Syk kinase, providing a platform for interaction with signaling intermediates such as Vav GEF and Grb2.
