Target Information
BST2 (CD317, HM1.24 antigen, DAMP-2, tetherin)은 B세포의 발달과 성장에 관여하는 막관통 단백질입니다.
BST2의 표면 발현은 pre-B 세포주 DW34의 성장에 기여하며, B세포 발달 단계 전반(프로-B에서 형질세포까지), T세포, 단핵구, NK세포, 수지상세포 및 골수종 세포에서 높은 수준으로 발현됩니다.
연구 결과에 따르면 BST2는 인간 세포에서 레트로바이러스 방출을 억제하며, HIV-1의 Vpu 단백질에 의해 길항됩니다.
BST2의 결핍은 바이러스 방출에 대한 Vpu의 필요성을 제거하며, 이는 HIV/AIDS 치료를 위한 잠재적 치료 전략으로 연구되고 있습니다.
BST2 기능 이상은 구내염(stomatitis)과도 관련이 있습니다.
