Target Information
Transmembrane protein 123 (TMEM123) is a single-pass type I membrane protein belonging to the CD164 family. TMEM123 acts as a novel marker for dendritic cell (DC) maturation, which are professional antigen-presenting cells.
It is reported that TMEM123 may be closely associated with the cell surface expression of CD40, and may also be involved in oncotic cell death characterized by cell swelling, organelle swelling, vacuolization, increased membrane permeability, and cell adhesion.
