Product Specific Information

The eBio1D3 (1D3) monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse CD19, a 95 kDa transmembrane glycoprotein expressed on B cells at all developmental stages except plasma cells. CD19 forms a complex with CD21, CD81, and MHC class II, associating with the BCR to mediate signaling, leading to tyrosine phosphorylation, calcium flux, and B cell proliferation.

Applications Reported:
For use in flow cytometric analysis.

Applications Tested:
Tested by flow cytometry using mouse splenocytes at ≤0.4 µg/test (100 µL final volume). Optimize antibody concentration empirically for best results.

Note:
NovaFluor dyes are not compatible with DNA intercalating viability dyes such as propidium iodide, 7-AAD, or DAPI. Use Invitrogen LIVE/DEAD Fixable Dead Cell stains instead.

Each NovaFluor conjugate ships with CellBlox Blocking Buffer. Add 5 µL per sample (10³–10⁸ cells) when staining, including single-color controls.

Target Information

CD19 is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily with two Ig-like domains. It is expressed on all peripheral B cells and some myeloid leukemia cells. CD19 acts as a co-receptor with the BCR, lowering the activation threshold and regulating B cell proliferation. Mutations in CD19 can cause hypogammaglobulinemia, while overexpression leads to B cell hyperactivity.
