Product Specific Information
This antibody recognizes an extracellular epitope of CD84, a single-chain cell surface glycoprotein of 64–82 kDa, predominantly expressed on B cells, monocytes, platelets, and some T cells.
Recommended dilution is for 100 µL of whole blood or 1×10⁶ cells in suspension.
Target Information
CD84 is expressed on mature B cells and B cell lines, including pre-B cell lines, but not on plasma cell lines. Immunohistochemical studies show strong expression on tissue macrophages. CD84 is also highly expressed on platelets and at low levels on peripheral blood T cells. It is a highly glycosylated protein belonging to the immunoglobulin superfamily and may play a role in leukocyte activation.
