Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to reach a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (recommended: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
Histone deacetylase 4 (HDAC4) deacetylates lysine residues on core histones (H2A, H2B, H3, H4), leading to epigenetic repression. It plays a critical role in transcriptional regulation, cell cycle progression, and development.
HDAC4 interacts with myocyte enhancer factors (MEF2A, MEF2C, MEF2D) for muscle maturation and participates in MTA1-mediated epigenetic regulation of ESR1 in breast cancer.
Mutations in the HDAC4 gene are associated with Brachydactyly-mental retardation syndrome (BDMR).
