Target Information
Transforming Growth Factor beta receptor 2 (TGFBR2; also known as AAT3, FAA3, MFS2, RIIC, LDS1B, LDS2B, TAAD2, TGFR-2, TGFbeta-RII) is a member of the TGF-beta family of receptor Serine/Threonine kinases. It plays a key role in the regulation of cell proliferation.
Mitochondrial ATP synthase catalyzes ATP synthesis utilizing an electrochemical gradient of protons across the inner membrane during oxidative phosphorylation. The enzyme complex consists of two linked multi-subunit components—F1 (soluble catalytic core) and Fo (membrane-spanning proton channel).
TGFBR2 encodes the gamma subunit of the catalytic core, and alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified. A pseudogene of TGFBR2 also exists on chromosome 14.
