Product Specific Information

This antibody is predicted to react with Monkey, Rat, and Dog.
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

Advantages of recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies:

  • Better specificity and sensitivity
  • Lot-to-lot consistency
  • Animal origin-free formulations
  • Broader immunoreactivity due to larger rabbit immune repertoire

Target Information

The multi-pass membrane protein GABBR2 belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 3 family and GABA-B receptor subfamily.
GABA-B receptors inhibit neuronal activity through G protein-coupled second-messenger systems, regulating neurotransmitter release, ion channel activity, and adenylyl cyclase.
GABBR2 forms an active heterodimeric complex with GABA-B receptor subunit 1, neither of which is effective alone.
Allelic variants of this gene have been associated with nicotine dependence.
