Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The expression systems are developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select optimal candidates for production.

Target Information
MCHR1 is a member of the G protein-coupled receptor family 1. It is an integral plasma membrane protein that binds melanin-concentrating hormone. The encoded protein can inhibit cAMP accumulation and stimulate intracellular calcium flux, and is likely involved in neuronal regulation of food consumption. Although structurally similar to somatostatin receptors, MCHR1 does not bind somatostatin.
