This antibody detects endogenous levels of total MAP3K3.
Target Information
MAP3K3 (MEKK3) directly regulates MAPK8 and ERK pathways by phosphorylating multiple MAP2Ks. Northern blot analysis shows a 4.6-kb transcript expressed ubiquitously. It regulates SAPK and ERK pathways by activating SEK and MEK1/2, but not the p38 pathway. In cotransfection assays, it enhances transcription from an NF-κB–dependent reporter gene, consistent with its role in the SAPK pathway. Alternatively spliced variants encoding distinct isoforms have been observed.
