PEP-0930 can be used as a blocking peptide with polyclonal antibody PA5-20816.
Target Information
Prosapip1 is a binding partner of the postsynaptic density (PSD) protein ProSAP2/Shank3, a major scaffolding protein in excitatory brain synapses.
It binds ProSAP2/Shank3 through a PDZ domain and links it to Spine-associated Rap-Gap (SPAR).
Prosapip1 shares significant homology with another PSD protein, PSD-Zip70, both coding for a Fez1 domain found in four related proteins forming a novel family of scaffolding molecules termed Fezzins.
Recent studies show that Prosapip1 is also found in endocrine cells, localized primarily in the hormone-storing compartment, suggesting additional functions in non-neuronal cells.
