Target Information
ATCH (Adrenocorticotropic Hormone, ACTH)는 부신피질을 자극하는 주요 호르몬으로, 전구체인 Proopiomelanocortin (POMC)의 절단을 통해 생성됩니다. POMC 절단 과정에서 MSH, ACTH, β-Endorphin 등이 함께 생성됩니다. ACTH는 시상하부에서 분비되는 Corticotropin-Releasing Hormone에 의해 전엽 뇌하수체에서 분비되며, 코르티솔과 같은 글루코코르티코이드 분비를 촉진합니다. 반면 알도스테론과 같은 미네랄코르티코이드의 분비에는 거의 영향을 미치지 않습니다.
