Product Specific Information

Description:
AER-37 monoclonal antibody reacts with the Fc epsilon RI alpha subunit, an IgE-binding subunit lacking signal-transducing ability. FcεRI alpha is expressed on mast and basophil cells and is upregulated by IgE presence. It forms a tetrameric complex with beta and two gamma subunits, which possess ITAM motifs. The FcεRI complex triggers IgE-mediated allergic reactions.

Applications Reported:
Reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.

Applications Tested:
Pre-titrated and tested by flow cytometric analysis of normal human peripheral blood cells. Use at 5 µL (0.25 µg) per test. A test corresponds to staining a cell sample in 100 µL final volume (10^5–10^8 cells/test).

Light Sensitivity:
Tandem dye is sensitive to photo-induced oxidation. Protect vial and stained samples from light.

Store up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark with minimal impact on brightness and FRET efficiency. Clone-specific performance should be verified empirically.

Excitation / Emission / Laser:
488–561 nm excitation; 775 nm emission; compatible with Blue, Green, and Yellow-Green lasers.

Filtration:
0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.


Target Information

FceR1 (Fc epsilonR1 alpha):
A subunit of the high-affinity IgE receptor, forming a tetrameric complex (α, β, and two γ subunits). The β and γ subunits mediate signal transduction. FcεRI plays a key role in allergic responses by coupling allergen-bound IgE to mast cells, leading to histamine release and synthesis of prostaglandins and leukotrienes—major effectors in hypersensitivity reactions such as hay fever and asthma.
