Product Specific Information

This 2F1 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse Killer cell Lectin-like Receptor G1 (KLRG1), also known as Mast cell Function-associated Antigen (MAFA).
KLRG1 is a glycosylated homodimer (30–38 kDa) containing a cytoplasmic ITIM-like motif. It is expressed on approximately one-third of mouse NK cells and a subset of T cells, but not on mouse mast cells.
MHC class I molecules regulate KLRG1 via Ly49 and SHP-1 signaling pathways.

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
Applications Tested: Tested using mouse splenocytes at ≤ 0.25 µg/test (100 µL final volume). Cell numbers may range from 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test. Optimal titration recommended.

Light Sensitivity: Protect from light due to photo-induced oxidation of tandem dye.
Fixation: Samples can be stored in IC Fixation Buffer (Product #00-8222-49) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product #00-5333-54) for up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark.
Excitation / Emission: 488–561 nm / 775 nm (Blue, Green, Yellow-Green lasers).
Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.

KLRG1 (Killer cell lectin-like receptor G1, MAFA, 2F1-Ag)
A homodimeric member of the lectin-like type 2 transmembrane receptor family containing ITIM motifs that interact with SHP-1.
KLRG1 functions as an inhibitory receptor expressed on NK cells and certain T cells, playing a role in immune regulation, tumor cell lysis, and antiviral responses.
