TLR1 단백질은 Toll-like receptor (TLR) 계열에 속하며, 병원체 인식 및 선천면역 활성화에 중요한 역할을 합니다.
TLR은 Drosophila부터 인간까지 보존되어 있으며, 병원체 관련 분자 패턴(PAMPs)을 인식해 면역 반응에 필요한 사이토카인 생성을 유도합니다.
TLR1은 TLR2와 상호작용하여 합성된 리포펩타이드에 대한 NF-kappaB 활성화를 강화하며, 다양한 길이의 전사체가 존재할 수 있습니다.
TLR 단백질은 세포 외 도메인에 류신 반복 서열(leucine-rich repeats)을, 세포 내 도메인에 IL-1 수용체 모티프를 포함한 막관통 단백질로 구성되어 있습니다.
