VENTX는 Lymphoid-enhancing factor/T-cell factors (LEF1/TCF) 계열에 속하는 고이동성 그룹 전사 인자로, 배아 발생과 발생학적 세포 운명 결정에 중요한 역할을 합니다. VENTX는 Vent 패밀리의 홈도메인 단백질로서, LEF/TCF 관련 전사 조절자로 작용합니다. 주로 조혈 세포에서 발현되며, 전사 억제 인자로 기능할 수 있고, 중배엽 패턴 형성과 조혈 줄기세포 유지에 관여할 가능성이 있으며, 조혈계 악성 질환에서의 역할이 제시되었습니다.
