Product Specific Information
Store vial at -20°C prior to opening. Aliquot contents and freeze at -20°C or below for extended storage. Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature.
This product is stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use.
This affinity-purified antibody is directed against mouse Nrf2 protein. A BLAST analysis suggests cross-reactivity with Nrf2 proteins from human, mouse, rat, and bovine based on 100% homology with the immunizing sequence. Reactivity against homologues from other sources is not known.
Target Information
Nfr1 (also designated TCF11), Nrf2, and Nfr3 are bZIP transcription factors that heterodimerize with Maf proteins to bind MARE (Maf recognition elements) sequences.
Nrf2 is widely expressed and is thought to translocate to the nucleus after treatment with xenobiotics and antioxidants, which stimulate its release from the repressor protein Keap1.
