For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

HES family members form complexes with TLE, the mammalian homologue of Groucho, through the carboxy-terminal WRPW motif. The HES/TLE complex binds directly to DNA rather than interfering with activator proteins.
Most HES family proteins (HES1, HES5) bind preferentially to the N box (CACNAG) rather than the E box (CANNTG). HES2 binds both N and E boxes, while HES6 does not bind DNA but inhibits HES1 activity, promoting transcription.
HES1 and HES2 are expressed in various adult and embryonic tissues, HES3 in cerebellar Purkinje cells, HES5 in the nervous system, and HES6 in the brain and developing limb buds.
