Product Specific Information

The Avas12a1 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse Flk-1 (vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 2, VEGFR2, CD309). Flk-1 is a receptor tyrosine kinase involved in vascular endothelial tissue development and is expressed on endothelial cells during embryonic stages and in some adult tissues.

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Tested on bEnd.3 cells at ≤1.0 µg per test (100 µL final volume). Cell number should be empirically determined (10⁵–10⁸ cells/test). Antibody titration recommended for optimal performance.

Fluorochrome Information:
Super Bright 600 is a tandem dye excited by violet laser (405 nm) and emits at 600 nm. Recommended filter: 610/20 bandpass. Ensure instrument compatibility.

Usage Notes:

• Use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product # SB-4401) when using multiple Super Bright dye-conjugated antibodies to minimize non-specific polymer interactions.
• Light sensitive: protect vial and samples from light.
• Fixation: Samples can be stored in IC Fixation Buffer (Product # 00-8222) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product # 00-5333) for up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark.

Target Information

KDR (FLK1, VEGFR2) is a type III receptor tyrosine kinase that binds vascular endothelial growth factor with high affinity. It is expressed early in development by endothelial cell precursors. FLK1 signaling and trafficking are regulated by multiple factors including Rab GTPase, P2Y purine nucleotide receptor, integrin αVβ3, and T-cell protein tyrosine phosphatase. Mutations are implicated in infantile capillary hemangiomas.
