Product Specific Information
- Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): Incubate antibody for 30 min at room temperature.
- Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 45 min at 95°C followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 min.
Target Information
Tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 13C (TNFRSF13C), also known as BAFFR, is a human protein encoded by the TNFRSF13C gene located on chromosome 22q13.1–q13.31.
It is a 184-amino-acid transmembrane protein with 56% identity to the mouse homolog.
BAFFR interacts with B cell-activating factor (BAFF), which enhances B-cell survival and regulates peripheral B-cell populations.
BAFF plays a critical role in B cell development and can function through receptors other than BCMA.
