Target Information
FOXO4 (Forkhead box O4)는 X 염색체에 위치한 FOXO4 유전자에 의해 암호화됩니다.
AFX1 또는 MLLT7(Myeloid/Lymphoid or Mixed-Lineage Leukemia, Trithorax Homolog, Translocated To, 7)로도 알려져 있으며, FOXO1, FOXO3, FOXO6과 함께 O 클래스의 forkhead/winged helix 전사 인자 계열에 속합니다.
FOXO4는 골격근과 지방조직에서 풍부하게 발현되며, Insulin Responsive Element (IRE)에 결합하여 Insulin/IGF1 신호전달의 하위 타깃인 IGFBP1을 활성화합니다.
Akt에 의해 특정 Ser/Thr 잔기에서 인산화되면 FOXO4는 14-3-3 단백질과 결합하여 핵에서 배출됩니다.
