This antibody detects endogenous levels of total MLH3 protein.
Target Information
MLH3 is a member of the MutL-homolog (MLH) family of DNA mismatch repair (MMR) genes, which are essential for maintaining genomic integrity during DNA replication and meiotic recombination. The MLH3 protein forms heterodimers with other MLH family members.
Somatic mutations in MLH3 are frequently found in tumors with microsatellite instability, and germline mutations are associated with hereditary nonpolyposis colorectal cancer type 7 (HNPCC7).
Several alternatively spliced transcript variants have been identified, though only two full-length variants are characterized.
