Target Information
The DGKA protein belongs to the eukaryotic diacylglycerol kinase family. It modulates intracellular signaling by competing with protein kinase C for diacylglycerol and participates in phosphatidylinositol resynthesis and phosphorylation of diacylglycerol to phosphatidic acid. Alternative splicing results in four transcript variants encoding the same protein.
