This antibody detects endogenous levels of total RAD1 protein.
Target Information
Rad1 is a component of a heterotrimeric PCNA-like complex containing Rad9 and Hus1 proteins. This complex, known as the 9-1-1 cell cycle checkpoint response complex, plays a major role in DNA repair by associating with Rad17 and components of the replication factor C complex. Mutants have been shown to partially restore radiation resistance and G2-checkpoint activity. Rad1 also exhibits exonuclease activity.
