Target Information
The NFKBIL2 protein is believed to act as a negative regulator of NF-kappa-B mediated transcription. It may bind NF-kappa-B complexes and retain them in the cytoplasm, preventing nuclear translocation and DNA binding. Phosphorylation leads to ubiquitination and degradation, releasing NF-kappa-B complexes to enter the nucleus.
