Product Specific Information

PerCP conjugates are excited by the 488 nm line of the argon-ion laser and have a large Stokes shift, providing minimal spectral overlap into the R-PE (phycoerythrin) channel.

Target Information

The CD4 antigen is involved in the recognition of MHC class II molecules and acts as a co-receptor for HIV. CD4 is mainly expressed in T helper lymphocytes but can also be found in monocytes, macrophages, and dendritic cells.
At the tissue level, CD4 expression occurs in thymus, lymph nodes, tonsils, spleen, and certain regions of the brain and gut. CD4 contributes to early T-cell activation via association with the T-cell receptor complex and Lck kinase, and may mediate neuronal damage in immune-related CNS disorders.
Multiple alternatively spliced transcripts have been identified (RefSeq, July 2017).
