TRPV1 (Transient Receptor Potential Cation Channel Subfamily V Member 1)는 캡사이신의 수용체로, 통증 감각을 유발하는 비선택적 양이온 채널입니다.
이 단백질은 TRP 계열의 이온 채널(TRPC3, TRPC6 등)과 구조적으로 유사하며, 칼슘, 마그네슘, 나트륨, 칼륨 등의 양이온에 대해 투과성을 가집니다.
6개의 막관통 도메인, P-loop 막 도메인, 3개의 ankyrin 반복 도메인을 포함하며, 고온 자극에 의해 활성화되어 통각 자극의 변환자로 작용합니다.
TRPV1은 주로 감각 신경절 내 뉴런에서 발현되며, IBS(과민성 대장 증후군) 및 방광 질환과 관련이 있습니다.
