Target Information
APS (adapter protein with Pleckstrin homology and Src homology 2 domains) is a member of the Lnk family and acts as an adaptor protein involved in B-cell signaling, insulin signaling, and cytoskeletal reorganization.
It is tyrosine phosphorylated by JAK2, KIT, and other kinases during B-cell receptor stimulation by various cytokines, chemokines, and leukokines. APS inhibits the JAK-STAT pathway in collaboration with c-Cbl.
Located in the cytoplasm in pre-PDGF stimulated cells, it localizes to the plasma membrane and peripheral regions upon PDGF stimulation.
APS is expressed in B-cells and mast cells in hematopoietic cell lines and in tissues such as spleen, prostate, testis, uterus, small intestine, and skeletal muscle.
