Target Information

The PCDH10 gene belongs to the protocadherin gene family, a subfamily of the cadherin superfamily. It encodes a cadherin-related neuronal receptor involved in establishing and maintaining specific cell-cell connections in the brain. This protein contains six extracellular cadherin domains, a transmembrane domain, and a unique cytoplasmic tail differing from classical cadherins. Alternatively spliced transcripts encode isoforms with distinct cytoplasmic domains.
