LRG1 (leucine-rich α-2-glycoprotein) is a 347 amino acid secreted protein containing 8 leucine-rich repeats (LRR) and one LRRCT domain. The LRR family is involved in protein-protein interaction, signal transduction, cell adhesion, and development. LRG1 is mainly found in plasma and expressed during granulocyte differentiation.
The LRG1 gene spans approximately 3,000 bases on human chromosome 19p13.3, which contains about 1,400 genes and has the highest gene density among human chromosomes. This region includes multiple immunoglobulin superfamily members such as killer cell and leukocyte Ig-like receptors, ICAMs, CEACAM, PSG families, and Fc receptors (FcRs).
Target Information
The leucine-rich repeat (LRR) family of proteins, including LRG1, are associated with protein-protein interaction, signal transduction, and cell adhesion and development. LRG1 is expressed during granulocyte differentiation.
