Target Information
CHMP3는 endosomal sorting required for transport complex III (ESCRT-III)의 핵심 구성 요소로, multivesicular bodies (MVBs) 형성과 endosomal cargo 단백질의 분류에 관여합니다. MVB는 내강 소포(ILV)를 포함하며, 이는 엔도솜의 제한막에서 내재화 및 절단을 통해 생성되어 리소좀으로 전달되어 막 단백질, 성장 인자 수용체, 효소 및 지질을 분해합니다.
ESCRT-III 단백질은 ILV가 방출되기 전에 막에서 분리되며, 세포질분열의 마지막 단계나 바이러스 출아(HIV-1 등)와 같은 막 절단 과정에도 관여합니다. 또한 phosphatidylinositol 3,5-bisphosphate(PtdIns(3,5)P2) 및 PtdIns(3,4)P2에 선택적으로 결합하며, 세포질분열의 후기 단계 및 EGF 수용체의 엔도솜 분류/수송에 역할을 합니다.
Isoform 2는 효모 세포에서 스트레스 매개 세포 사멸 및 활성 산소종 축적을 방지하는 기능을 가집니다.
