Target Information
Charged multivesicular body protein 3 (CHMP3)는 endosomal sorting required for transport complex III (ESCRT-III)의 핵심 구성요소로, multivesicular bodies (MVBs) 형성과 내재화된 단백질의 분류에 관여합니다.
MVB는 내강 소포(ILVs)를 포함하며, 이는 엔도솜 막의 함입 및 절단에 의해 형성되어 리소좀으로 전달되어 막 단백질, 효소, 지질의 분해를 돕습니다.
ESCRT 기계는 또한 세포질 분열의 말기 단계나 피막 바이러스(HIV-1 등)의 출아와 같은 막 절단 과정에도 관여합니다.
CHMP3는 phosphatidylinositol 3,5-bisphosphate [PtdIns(3,5)P₂] 및 PtdIns(3,4)P₂에 선택적으로 결합하며, EGF 수용체의 엔도솜 분류/수송에 역할을 합니다.
Isoform 2는 스트레스 매개 세포사멸을 억제하고, 효모 세포에서 활성산소종의 축적을 방지합니다.
