Target Information
COX2는 arachidonate를 prostaglandin H2 (PGH2)로 전환하는 효소로, prostanoid 합성의 핵심 단계에 관여합니다.
COX 반응을 통해 arachidonate가 prostaglandin G2 (PGG2)로 전환되고, 이어 peroxidase 반응으로 PGG2가 PGH2로 환원됩니다.
COX2는 정상 조직(내피, 신장, 뇌 등)에서도 발현되지만, 암이나 염증과 같은 병리적 상태에서 발현이 증가합니다.
COX2의 발현 증가는 세포 부착, 표현형 변화, 세포사 저항성 및 종양 혈관신생과 관련이 있습니다.
암세포에서 COX2는 prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) 생성을 촉진하여 세포 이동, 증식, 생존에 영향을 줍니다.
