The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum using epitope-specific immunogen. Purity >95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Target Information
BCS1L encodes a homolog of the S. cerevisiae bcs1 protein, involved in assembly of complex III of the mitochondrial respiratory chain. The encoded protein lacks a mitochondrial targeting sequence but is imported into mitochondria. Mutations in this gene are associated with mitochondrial complex III deficiency and GRACILE syndrome. Five alternatively spliced transcripts encoding the same protein have been described.
