Calcium Channel 1 is a protein encoded by the CACNB1 gene and belongs to the calcium channel beta subunit family.
It plays a crucial role in modulating G protein inhibition, increasing peak calcium current, controlling alpha-1 subunit membrane targeting, and shifting voltage dependence of activation and inactivation.
Dysfunction of this protein is associated with diseases such as malignant hyperthermia susceptibility.
