TSC2 (Tuberin, Tuberous sclerosis complex, TSC Complex Subunit 2)는 종양 억제 유전자로 알려져 있으며, 세포 성장 정지 및 스테로이드 수용체 매개 전사 조절에 관여합니다.
TSC2는 hamartin과 복합체를 형성하여 세포질에서 작용하며, vesicular transport 조절에도 관여할 수 있습니다.
Ser 939 및 Thr 1462의 인산화는 hamartin과의 상호작용을 조절하며, 이는 PI3K/Akt 경로를 통해 성장 인자에 의해 자극됩니다.
TSC2는 RAP1A 및 RAB5의 GTPase 활성을 촉진하여 세포 성장 조절에 기여할 수 있습니다.
TSC2 유전자 변이는 RAP1A의 지속적 활성화를 유발하며, lymphangioleiomyomatosis 및 TSC2 angiomyolipoma와 같은 질환과 관련이 있습니다.
